Training & Development efforts: added $30 million in revenue through sales and customer service training for 500 professionals; established project management standards and competencies and consultative support roles for 250 information technology, engineering and human resource specialists; realigned the company's $25 million annual investment in training & development into strategic learning and performance improvement services.
Process Improvement efforts: achieved cost savings in excess of $20 million by implementing business process improvement, gain sharing and high performing work systems in 15 facilities. One project redesigned the company's procurement system, which included facilitating and training a task force in process improvement methods.
